wickedly good

Since I met you I’ve changed. I don’t know if it’s for the better, but I’ve been changed for good.– Glinda the Good, in Wicked
The brocolli is getting steamed,
she said tacitly, and we laughed,
like a mob,
because we’re not her
of the emerald skin,
green as goosebumps.
We’d stare & think of other
green skins, like Princess Shrek,
changed by love
into pudgy luminescence,
as if green is the new leviathan,
for misjudging,
and the color of your mossy skin
is full of molecules,
in need of love,
not sly with sin.

“…full of molecules//in need of love//not sly with sin.”
Keep up the awesome work!
I love these last few lines. Also a huge Wicked fan, so that’s two for two.
Hi, yes, a spectacular musical. I wasn’t one bit bored. Glinda is so OTT funny, and Elphaba is so real & moving as a character, and not a wicked witch at all. Hrmph.
